About

I’m Deana Von Lumina, a fine art photographer working in black and white from Oxfordshire, England.

I came to photography late, and from scratch. After surgery in 2025 I began regaining my signal, and I picked up a camera for the first time. I am self-taught.

I’m drawn to the figure in forgotten places: abandoned stations, ruins and quiet streets, where my muses inhabit the space rather than pose against it. I work in series and finish every photograph in monochrome. Wabi-sabi, the beauty of what is broken and authentic, runs through all of it. To me, black and white isn’t nostalgia. It’s clarity.

I know both sides of the lens. As a model I work under the name Victoriah, and that experience shapes how I direct: with care, trust and an eye for the smallest shift in a gesture. Alongside stills, I create video work.

Twenty years in the creative industry, on both sides of the lens, led me to found The Atelier of Muses, where I bring photographers, muses and creative teams together to make work that could exist nowhere else.

There I share what I’ve learned through editorial workshops, a Camera Club, studio days, retreats and tours.

Support my journey

In 2022 I was diagnosed with Chiari malformation. Surgery in 2025 began the slow work of regaining my signal, and photography became the way I found my way home. My recovery is still ongoing. If my work has moved you, you can support my surgeries and recovery through my GoFundMe. Every donation, and every share, means more than I can say.
