01 Lost Signal

I made Lost Signal at an abandoned satellite station in Tenerife: a dish built to send and receive, now rusting in silence while planes still cross the sky above it. Before surgery for Chiari malformation, my memory and my mind felt as if they were fading — a lost signal. After surgery in 2025 I began regaining my signal, and I picked up a camera for the first time: self-taught, starting from scratch. My muses wear black, like mourners. Through wabi-sabi — the beauty of what is broken and authentic — this series is about losing connection, and slowly finding it again.
